ITA sets subsidies on China wire rod

NEW YORK — The U.S. Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration (ITA) has imposed preliminary subsidy rates ranging from 10.3 to 81.36 percent on imports of carbon steel wire rod from China.

Hebei Iron & Steel Co. Ltd., one of the country’s largest steel producers, received a preliminary subsidy rate of 81.36 percent, while Benxi Beiying Iron & Steel Group Import & Export Corp., Benxi Beiying Iron & Steel Group Co. Ltd. and 13 affiliates, along with all other Chinese wire rod producers, received a preliminary subsidy rate of 10.3....
