Zorba prices flat as demand wanes

NEW YORK — Export prices for zorba, a nonferrous auto shred, are expected to stay flat over the next few weeks due to a lack of strong interest from China and India, despite an uptick in aluminum and copper terminal market tags, market players said.

Export prices for 94- to 95-percent metallic content zorba with a 2- to 3-percent red metal content inched marginally higher in June to 68 to 69 cents per pound f.a.s. East or West Coast from 67 to 69 cents per pound at the end of May (amm.com, May 28).....
