To the Editor: The most recent full-court press by domestic steel industry spokesmen against steel imports (and their customers) suggests two thoughts. First, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Second, with all this talk about jobs—and clearly we need more high-paying manufacturing jobs—who is speaking for steel consumers, which employ 60 people in manufacturing for every one in steelmaking, according to government statistics? American steel consumers pay the world’s highest steel prices nine out....
