Metal Conversion files suit following fire

NEW YORK Metal Conversion Technologies LLC has accused Environmental Integrity Co. LLC and Charles Bailey Trucking Inc. of failing to comply with laws and regulations in packaging and shipping a load of lithium batteries that led to a fire at the companys facility in Georgia.
The Cartersville, Ga.-based battery recycler claims in a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Georgia that the batteries were "literally just dumped into ordinary cardboard boxes by the thousands with no packaging or stabilizing whatsoever."....
