Aerospace, auto demand boost Alcoa results

NEW YORK Rising aluminum demand from the aerospace and automotive sectors and improved pricing put Alcoa Inc. firmly in the black in the second quarter.
The Pittsburgh-based aluminum producer posted net income of $138 million in the three months ended June 30 vs. a $119-million net loss in the same period last year on revenue of $5.84 billion, up 7 percent from the first quarter but down 0.2 percent from a year earlier.....
