General Cable to restructure, slash jobs

NEW YORK Wire and cable manufacturer General Cable Corp. will restructure its business, an effort it expects will lead to annual savings across all segments of $10 million this year and $75 million starting in 2016.
General Cable expects to eliminate 1,000 positions worldwide, or 7 percent of its work force, according to a July 9 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.....
