VW to build SUV at Tennessee facility

NEW YORK — Volkswagen AG will invest $900 million to produce a new midsize sport utility vehicle (SUV) at its Chattanooga, Tenn., plant.

Some $600 million of the project expenditure will be invested in the Tennessee operations, where production of the seven-passenger SUV starting in 2016 will add 2,000 jobs, the Wolfsburg, Germany-based automaker said. ....
