Turkey, Taiwan top ferrous scrap destinations

NEW YORK Ferrous scrap shipments from San Francisco to Vietnam were among the top five U.S. export routes in May, but sales to Turkey and Taiwan continued to dominate volumes and shipments.
Shredded scrap and No. 1 heavy melt scrap exports from San Francisco to Vietnam finished as the second- and fifth-busiest trade routes for the respective grades in May at 38,274 tonnes and 28,565 tonnes, respectively, according to U.S. Commerce Department data. The f.o.b. prices averaged $343 per tonne for shredded scrap and $341 per tonne for HMS.....
