Copper, brass service center shipments tumble

NEW YORK Copper and brass shipments by service centers dropped in May compared with a year earlier, according to Copper and Brass Servicenter Association (CBSA) data.
Service centers shipped 22.07 million pounds of copper and brass products, down 4.3 percent from 23.06 million pounds in May last year. Copper product shipments totaled nearly 10.78 million pounds, down 0.9 percent from a year earlier, while shipments of alloy products slid 7.3 percent to 11.3 million pounds. ....
