Ormet wins approval to sell smelter

NEW YORK A Delaware bankruptcy court judge has approved Ormet Corp.s $25.25-million sale of its shuttered aluminum smelter in Hannibal, Ohio, to Niagara Worldwide LLC.
The decision effectively overrules an objection by the Steelworkers Pension Trust, which claimed the deal improperly eliminated its $5-million pension claim, according to a July ruling by Judge Mary F. Walrath.....
