Alamo Tube plans OCTG mill near San Antonio

NEW YORK Alamo Tube Co. is planning to invest $62.5 million to build a 250,000-ton-per-year electric-resistance welded (ERW) mill near San Antonio in a move that will increase the domestic supply of oil country tubular goods (OCTG).
The San Antonio-based company "plans to build the countrys first, tubing-specific OCTG pipe mill and finishing facility south of San Antonio, targeted to service the growing U.S. oil field tubing demand," it said July 22.....
