Noranda Income Fund logs loss in 2d qtr.

NEW YORK Noranda Income Fund, which owns a zinc processing facility in Quebec, posted a second-quarter net loss due to an unplanned maintenance outage, electrical equipment failures and lower zinc metal production and sales.
The Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec-based company reported a comprehensive net loss of nearly Canadian $6.8 million ($6.3 million) for the three months ended June 30 in contrast to comprehensive net income of C$9.2 million in the same year-ago period.....
