Rebar co-op members land cash rebate

NEW YORK The Independent Steel Alliance, a rebar buying cooperative, performed better than expected during its first full year of operations, delivering a cash rebate to member fabricators where it initially expected none.
"We were able to deliver rebates back to many of our members in the first year, when we expected nothing," ISA executive director Chris Casey told AMM, noting that rebates totaled nearly $400,000 collectively for calendar year 2013.....
