NLMK USA’s sales rise in qtr. on better demand, weather

CHICAGO Russian steelmaker Novolipetsk Steels (NLMKs) U.S. operations recorded higher sales in the second quarter despite repairs denting crude steel output at the companys Portage, Ind., mill.
NLMK USA, which also has operations in Farrell, Pa., sold 538,000 tonnes of rolled steel in the second quarter, up 17.7 percent from 457,000 tonnes in the first three months of the year, the company said July 21 in a trading update.....
