PITTSBURGH A Schnitzer Steel Industries Inc. subsidiary is suing a California scrapyard for allegedly intentionally shorting the weight of its deliveries and violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (Rico) Act.
Pick-N-Pull Auto Dismantlers filed suit in U.S. District Court in California against San Leandro-based Alco Iron & Metal Co., as well as Emilio Zamora, a scrap buyer at the facility, and scale attendants Cesar Zamora and Ricardo Zamora, after a Pick-N-Pull employee discovered a weight discrepancy.....
