Boeing denies claim of age discrimination

LOS ANGELES — Boeing Co.’s largest white-collar union has accused the company of age discrimination in a filing with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Washington State Human Rights Commission.

The Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) claims Boeing engaged in "secret manipulation" of retention ranking factors that are used to determine employee layoff order, SPEEA executive director Ray Goforth said in a statement.....
