U.S. Steel, Hamilton union start contract talks

PITTSBURGH U.S. Steel Corp. and the union representing workers at its operations in Hamilton, Ontario, were scheduled to begin contract negotiations July 28, a union official said.
The Pittsburgh-based steelmakers current contract with United Steelworkers union Local 1005 expires Oct. 15, Rolf Gerstenberger, president of Local 1005, told AMM. "Were meeting with the company (July 28) to start bargaining," he said July 26, noting that USW Local 1005....
