CHICAGO U.S. Steel Corp.s operations in Slovakia havent been impacted by fighting in eastern Ukraine and sanctions imposed on Russia, according to the companys top executive.
"We have not been impacted in any meaningful way. ... But weve been putting backup plans and alternative plans in place to order to mitigate the potential risk," U.S. Steel president and chief executive officer Mario Longhi said during a July 30 earnings conference call with analysts.....
