RTI earnings jump in 2d qtr.

LOS ANGELES RTI International Metals Inc.s net income soared in the second quarter due to higher deliveries for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner program and strong energy-related business.
The Pittsburgh-based company reported net income of $7 million for the three months ended June 30, more than ten times the $670,000 recorded in the same period last year, on sales that increased 3.1 percent to $205.3 million from $199.1 million.
Deliveries of equivalent shipsets of titanium seat tracks for Chicago-based Boeing Co.s 787 Dreamliner doubled to 36 in the second quarter from 18 a year earlier.....
