RTI to ink new engine supply pact: Hickton

LOS ANGELES RTI International Metals Inc. is nearing a deal with another major aircraft engine customer as it continues to strengthen business in this market sector, its top executive said.
The Pittsburgh-based titanium and specialty metals producer and fabricator has been "awarded new business by yet another aerospace engine OEM (original equipment manufacturer) customer," vice chairwoman, president and chief executive officer Dawne S. Hickton said in an earnings conference call. RTI reached a supply deal with Pratt & Whitney Corp., a unit of Hartford, Conn.-based United Technologies Corp. (UTC) last year (amm.com, June 17, 2013).....
