Haynes eyes upturn as volumes strengthen

NEW YORK — Haynes International Inc. is "starting to see signs of an upturn in the marketplace" amid strengthening volumes and longer lead times.

"It appears we are seeing the end of the destocking" cycle that hit the company’s key aerospace market, which accounted for 43 percent of total sales in the quarter, according to president and chief executive officer Mark Comerford.

"Volumes in the industry are strengthening, as evidenced by larger backlogs and in many cases longer lead times," Comerford said during Haynes’ fiscal third-quarter earnings conference call.....
