Insteel to buy ASW’s PC strand assets for $36M

NEW YORK Insteel Industries Inc. has reached a deal to purchase the assets of American Spring Wire Corp.s (ASWs) prestressed concrete (PC) strand business for $36 million.
The Mount Airy, N.C.-based wire maker will obtain ASWs production equipment and facilities in Newnan, Ga., and Houston, although Insteel said it will lease ASWs Houston facility rather than buying it outright. ....
