Supply tightness lifts silicon prices further

NEW YORK Spot prices for silicon metal have risen again, with outages from Brazilian and Australian producers continuing to crimp domestic supply.
AMMs silicon metal price now stands at $1.44 to $1.47 per pound, up from $1.40 to $1.44 per pound previously.
One consumer said he is now being quoted as high as $1.50 per pound. "Its getting a lot more damn expensive," he told AMM.....
