RNC sees progress despite 2d-qtr. loss

NEW YORK Royal Nickel Corp. (RNC) said it made "solid progress" in the second quarter, including the acquisition of interests in two separate exploration opportunities, despite falling deeper into the red.
Toronto-based RNC posted a net loss of Canadian $3 million ($2.74 million) for the three months ended June 30 vs. a C$1.9-million loss in the same period last year. The company attributed the loss "primarily to higher general and administrative expenses" while also reporting a substantially lower cash position as well as less working capital.....
