Insteel sees growth in rebar substitutes

NEW YORK Insteel Industries Inc. sees significant growth opportunities in the construction markets for its rebar-replacing engineered structural mesh (ESM) product.
"We believe the rebar market represents a highly attractive growth opportunity for ESM," vice president and chief financial officer Michael C. Gazmarian told delegates Aug. 12 at Jefferies LLCs 10th Annual Global Industrials Conference in New York. "About 80 percent of the domestic rebar market represents sizes that could potentially be replaced by ESM."....
