Niagara to ‘repurpose’ Ormet assets

NEW YORK The new owner of the former Ormet Corp. smelting facility in Hannibal, Ohio, is looking to "repurpose" manufacturing equipment at the idle site.
Niagara, Wis.-based development company Niagara Worldwide LLC purchased Hannibal-based Ormets assets for $25.25 million in June (amm.com, June 27). Ormet, which shut the Hannibal smelter in October after failing to secure a more favorable power....
