Ansonia to pay $400,000 in back taxes

NEW YORK — Defunct copper and brass producer Ansonia Copper & Brass Inc. will account for $400,000 it owes in back taxes to the city of Ansonia, Conn., by paying for the demolition of its former manufacturing facility, legal counsel for the company told AMM.

The company will pay for the demolition and remediation of roughly 30,000 square feet of a series of smaller buildings out of a larger property of around 40 acres, Ansonia Copper & Brass legal counsel Gary O’Connor said.....
