Brazil sales worry US aluminum buyers

NEW YORK Several aluminum P1020 consumers are growing concerned about an anticipated supply shortage resulting from a recent uptick in shipments of domestic aluminum to Brazil.
The spike in shipments is the result of stepped-up demand from producers in Brazil, who have struggled to overcome serious production cutbacks caused by a recent power shortage.
Camex, Brazils foreign trade council, recently announced that it will exempt 300,000 tonnes of unwrought aluminum from the 6-percent import tax for a 12-month period to help spur industrial production in the country.....
