Distributors’ OCTG sales prices hit new high

NEW YORK Distributors oil country tubular goods (OCTG) prices hit a 21-month high in August after logging a fourth consecutive monthly increase.
Average distributor OCTG selling prices rose to $1,742 per short ton, up 1.6 percent from $1,715 last month and the highest level since reaching $1,759 per ton in November 2012, according to data from Tulsa, Okla.-based Pipe Logix LLC. Average seamless OCTG prices for the month rose 1.5 percent to $1,870 per ton and electric-resistance welded (ERW) product rose 1.6....
