LOS ANGELES Steel beam imports are poised to fall in August after hitting their highest monthly total for the year in July as the threat of domestic trade complaints may have dampened foreign offers.
Import license applications for wide-flange and standard beams totaled 42,134 tonnes through Aug. 26, down 42.7 percent from 73,570 tonnes for all of July, data from the U.S. Commerce Departments Enforcement and Compliance division show. ....
