Indonesian state-owned miner PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) has renewed its export licenses for low-grade nickel ore and bauxite.

The company has received a renewal recommendation permit of mineral export from the ministry of energy and mineral resources for 2.7 million wet metric tonnes (wmt) of low-grade nickel ore of less than 1.7% nickel and 840,000 wmt of washed bauxite up until 2019, it said.

With the approval of the export quotas, Antam is targeting a two-fold increase in its nickel ore production to 11.25 million wmt in 2018.
