NEW YORK The Aluminum Association has elected Norsk Hydro ASAs Matt Aboud, Alcoa Inc.s Anthony Farraj and Novelis Inc.s Tom Walpole to its board of directors.
"Matt, Tony and Tom have diverse experience and expertise in critical areas of the U.S., North American and global aluminum industry," Tom Brackmann, president of Nichols Aluminum LLC and chairman of the Aluminum Associations board of directors, said in a statement.
Aboud, vice president and managing director of Hydros metal markets division in North America, is chairman of the Aluminum Associations statistical and market research committee. He joined Hydro in 2003.
Farraj has held a number of roles since joining Alcoas rigid packaging division in 1999. He currently is commercial vice president of global packaging at the Pittsburgh-based companys global rolled products unit after previously serving as commercial vice president of Alcoa Russia.
Walpole is senior vice president of Novelis and president of Novelis North America. He previously was senior vice president of global manufacturing and president of Novelis Asia, and before that was vice president and general manager of Novelis can products business unit.
