NEW YORK Larry Snyder, executive vice president of Sims Metal Management Ltd.s North American nonferrous metals division, is no longer with the company.
Snyders position was eliminated and the company "has hired three people to fill the role," according to a source familiar with the development. A Sims spokesman confirmed Snyders departure but declined to comment further.
Snyder served 31 years with the company, starting with Metal Management Inc. in 1981 and staying on after Sims Group Ltd.s acquisition of Metal Management in 2008.
The source told AMM that the exit was not entirely amicable and that Snyder is now "taking some time off before deciding his next move."
