NEW YORK — Ohio metal and electronics recycler BMG Recycling & Resources LLC has merged its operations with Asian-owned recycler HKRR LLC.

Richfield-based BMG Recycling and Indianapolis-based HKRR have formed HBMR Holdings LLC, the new company said.

BMG’s four facilities—Bay Metal Inc. and Itran Electronics Recycling, both in Richfield; Bay Metal South Inc., Millersville, Tenn.; and Low Country Metal, Hardeeville, S.C.—will operate under the new umbrella, joining six HKRR facilities in Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee and Texas.

HBMR Holdings chairman Manjot Singh said BMG Recycling has experience building peddler operations and managing industrial recycling across North America, while HKRR opens the door to more international consumers for the nonferrous metals produced by the company.

HKRR chairman K.S. Heng said the merger will help the recycler streamline operations while continuing to grow its capacity.
