NEW YORK Imports of certain steel wheels (in diameters from 18 to 24.5 inches) from China are not injuring or threatening to injure U.S. industry, the International Trade Commission (ITC) has ruled, even though the Commerce Department had previously found that the imports were being subsidized and sold at less than fair value in the United States.
As a result of the ITCs unanimous negative determination, no anti-dumping or countervailing duty orders will be issued.
The petitioners were Accuride Corp., Evansville, Ind., and Hayes Lemmerz International Inc., Northville, Mich.
Accuride said it may appeal the decision.
