Copper prices will perform the best of any London Metal Exchange metal prices this year, according to an electronic poll of attendees at the LME Asia Metals seminar on May 4.
Copper topped the poll of around 200 delegates, with 46% of respondents reckoning average copper prices this year would rise the most, or fall the least.
Around 30% chose tin, while 13% chose zinc. Eleven percent of voters chose aluminium.
Conversely, 43% of the respondents polled said aluminium will be the worst performing metal. A total of 27% of those polled said zinc will be the worst while only 16% voted for tin and 14% for copper.
There were 200 delegates attending the LME Asia Metals seminar in Singapore and each had the option to respond electronically to the polled questions.
