Switzerland-based energy and commodities trading house Mercuria Energy will expand into base metals market with teams based in Shanghai and London, the company announced.
The London team will be led by Ben Green and Liam Brown, both former metals traders at Goldman Sachs, while 15 new hires have been made to staff the Shanghai trading operation, Mercuria said.
Mercuria will trade copper, aluminium, zinc, nickel, tin and lead across the London Metal Exchange, Comex and the Shanghai Futures Exchange.
