Iron ore and manganese producer Ferrex has appointed Justin Longley general manager for West Africa, it said on Tuesday May 8.
The appointment comes as the company continues to fast-track its Nayega manganese project in northern Togo as well as other potentially low-capex ventures in West Africa that are close to existing infrastructure, the miner said.
“We [...] continue to assess a range of prospective assets in the West African region in line with mid-term production potential, and I am confident that Justin Longley’s experience in evaluating and developing mining projects will prove highly advantageous,” Ferrex md Dave Reeves said.
Longley previously worked for base metals-focused Mukuba Resources in Zambia.
