NEW YORK — Sapa Extrusions North America, Service Center Metals LLC (SCM) and Kaiser Aluminum Corp. have separately announced conversion price increases of 3 cents per pound on all extruded products.

The increases by the aluminum companies are effective with all new orders accepted on or after May 14 and all new shipments on or after May 28, according to e-mails sent to customers.

"We have received a number of price increases in recent months, and have taken a number of measures to mitigate their impact on our expenditures. However, given the persistent nature of these costs, we are forced to announce this increase to all regions and segments of our customer base," Sapa Extrusions North America president Patrick Lawlor said in his company’s e-mail.
