LONDON Newedge Group has made a series of appointments to its global metals businesses.
In New York, William Taylor has been appointed senior director, head of metals trading for the Americas. Taylor has been a member of the Newedge Groups New York team for 15 years. In addition, Anthony Kelly, formerly with New York-based Natixis North America Inc., has been named associate director of trading at Newedge in New York.
In London, Newedge named Andrew Patterson senior director, head of metals trading for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Patterson has 17 years experience in the metals business, most recently as head of the Newedge floor team on the London Metal Exchange.
Andrew Foxley, also to be based in London, was appointed director, global head of metals e-brokerage. He will cover Newedges electronic platform, Metals Edge, along with its China Connect product.
Pengjiang (Richard) Fu has been hired as director of metals to serve Asian market participants looking to trade on European exchanges. Fu previously was with London-based Jefferies Bache LLC, where he was head of the China desk.
In Hong Kong, Wendy Law has joined the company as director, head of sales in Asia. She comes from Natixis Commodities Markets Ltd., along with Alan Burr, who is now director, head of trading in Asia.
In addition, Andy Ko, who previously worked for Paris-based Natixis in Hong Kong, has joined the metals desk as associate director of trading in Asia.
Newedge is an LME Category I ring dealing member.
