PITTSBURGH Andre Pujadas has resigned as Severstal North America Inc.s North American purchasing manager for scrap and metallics, and purchasing vice president David Howard will assume his responsibilities, according to a company spokeswoman.
Pujadas, who stepped down Oct. 30, told AMM he is looking for a career change but plans to remain in the domestic scrap arena.
He had been the lead buyer for Severstal Columbus, the Dearborn, Mich.-based steelmakers mini-mill in Mississippi, and Severstal Dearborn, its integrated mill, since 2008. In addition to sourcing scrap, Pujadas also played a role in the logistics of moving the material.
