NEW YORK — DLA Strategic Materials has again offered 3,145 tons of high-carbon ferromanganese from its depots in Warren, Ohio, and Point Pleasant, W.Va.

The 1,145 tons of material in Warren came from Japan, the Fort Belvoir, Va.-based agency said, while the 2,000 tons of material in Point Pleasant is from the United States.

The agency has reported no sales of the material over the past five months (, Oct. 10).

High-carbon ferromanganese prices have drifted down to between $1,150 and $1,200 per long ton from a high of $1,300 to $1,350 per ton in mid-March.
