CHICAGO Steel processor and distributor Worthington Industries Inc. said it will host a public meeting of the Ohio House 21st Century Manufacturing Task Force in Columbus this Thursday.
The hearing is designed to bring together Ohios manufacturing community and policymakers as they work to improve Ohios manufacturing competitiveness, the Columbus-based steel company said.
Recommendations from this hearing, along with six others conducted throughout the state, will be presented to Ohios speaker of the house by the end of the year, it said.
Participants will include speakers from Dearborn, Mich.-based Ford Motor Co., Auburn Hills, Mich.-based Chrysler Group LLC, Marysville, Ohio-based Honda of America Manufacturing Inc. and Worthington, among others.
