NEW YORK — Exide Technologies has formed a strategic alliance with ultracapacitor product manufacturer Maxwell Technologies Inc., San Diego.
The two companies will work together in the development and marketing of integrated battery-ultracapacitor energy storage products, collaboratively developing and testing products, according to Milton, Ga.-based Exide.
Exide’s vice president of global engineering and research, Paul Cheeseman, said that products developed through the alliance will yield benefits such as "high energy density, rapid charging and discharging, extended operational life and superior performance in extreme temperatures."
