NEW YORK — Wise Alloys LLC has signed a new five-year labor agreement with United Steelworkers union Local 200.
The agreement covers roughly 420 union employees at the company’s Muscle Shoals, Ala., headquarters, according to a spokeswoman for parent Wise Metals Group LLC.
"Our new agreement benefits employees and the company by providing the ability to plan for the future over a longer period of time. Employees are assured of wage improvement and the company can better forecast costs," Wise Metals Group executive vice president and chief operating officer Wes Oberholzer said in a statement.
Wise Alloys signed a new five-year labor agreement with its engineers in October (amm.com, Oct. 15).
