NEW YORK — Nucor Corp.’s plate group will increase published prices on all new orders by a minimum of $50 per ton, the company said in a letter to customers dated Nov. 21.

The increase applies to carbon, alloy and heat-treated plate products scheduled to ship the week of Dec. 30 and beyond, the Charlotte, N.C.-based steelmaker said, noting that the increase is in addition to its previously announced increase from Nov. 7 (amm.com, Nov. 7).

Competitor SSAB Americas has also announced its own $50-per-ton increase (amm.com, Nov. 20).
