PITTSBURGH Pacific Recycling Inc. is seeking funds to install an auto shredder at its Eugene, Ore., facility.
The Oregon Business Development Commission will hold a public hearing Dec. 6 on a proposal to have the state treasurer issue as much as $9 million in bonds for installation of the shredder and related equipment, as well as for improvements at the yard.
The metal recycler, owned by Rod Schultz, would repay the bonds, but the terms were not disclosed in the hearing notice issued by the commission. The company could not be reached for comment.
If built, the shredder would become the third in the state.
