PITTSBURGH — California recycler DEI Metals Inc. has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation.
The Pomona-based metals recycler listed assets of $12,231 and liabilities of $15,000 in documents filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in California. The recycler noted that an additional undetermined liability from a pending lawsuit could be outstanding.
In January 2011, DEI was removed from the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery’s approved list.
A creditor meeting is set for Jan. 4.
DEI president Charles Tsai couldn’t be reached for comment.
