Stainless USA LLC has lowered most stainless steel surcharges
for December on the back of lower nickel prices.
The Calvert, Ala.-based company
has set its surcharges at 72.99 cents per pound for Type 304,
down 7.9 percent from 79.28 cents last month; 48.14 cents per
pound for Type 201, down 4.8 percent from 50.55 cents; and
$1.0312 per pound for Type 316, down 7.7 percent from $1.1168.
The surcharge for Type 430, which contains no nickel, was
increased 9.1 percent to 21.69 cents per pound from 19.88
