NEW YORK — Global Aluminum (USA) Inc. has purchased the plants and related assets of Pennsauken, N.J.-based Aluminum Shapes LLC and Pickering, Ontario-based Signature Aluminum Canada Inc.

The purchase closed on Dec. 4. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Walnut, Calif.-based Global Aluminum intends to make "significant" capital investments to the facilities, including new extrusion presses and billet casting equipment, according to a statement from Aluminum Shapes.
